Part of being a grip is knowing when to use the right hardware for the job. Many times, this requires the use of grade 8 rated hardware to ensure the highest levels of strength and safety on set. However, a skill that is rarely needed if not commonly overlooked is double checking the bolts we are using to ensure there was no mixups with the other hardware floating around set, or an error on the order before we use them. Here is an easy chart to help you identify at a glance to make sure you are using the proper grade 8 bolts.
